TB,HIV control board to maintain uniform report

The 2nd quarterly meeting of Dimapur district TB/HIV Control Board was held on July 30 at CMO’s Office chamber. The meeting was chaired by chief medical officer cum vice chairman Dimapur district control society, Dr. Sukhato A. Sema.
At the meeting, agendum on cross referral activities was taken up as one of the main topics to improve further. Suggestion for an ORWs to accompany patients referred from ICTC to RNTCP and vice versa, mobile ICTC to be available at District TB Centre for three days in a week i.e. DOTS days, medical superintendent, Dr. D.K. Mero suggested that ICTC centre and DTC be maintained under the same roof for better improvement in HIV and sputum AFB for TB testing, since reporting of TB-HIV was not uniform.
The board further deliberated on how to rectify and improve so as to make a uniform reports. Dr. Joyce Angami, from Nosal Institute for Global health highlighted on increasing awareness & sensitization of programme on TB- HIV to the members.
