All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA), Kohima on close observation of various problems faced by the department of school education, said the root cause of the problems cropped up from backlog cases of ad hoc appointments.
In this connection, the association said it had submitted five representatives to the department in-charge on regularization of adhoc teachers but added the progress of regularization process was slow.
According to the association, as far as the normal process of regularization of adhoc teachers was concerned, adhoc teachers should be regularized on the basis of service length-those who had completed five years, three years and above and those aggrieved teachers who had been appointed against old post creation with proper approval letter from the government.
Union president Ponchulo Wanth in a press release alleged that as per the state cabinet approval, certain group of teachers who are nowhere in the line of regularization had been regularized recently. The association has urged the government to take up immediate and necessary steps so as to regularize all deserving adhoc teachers in the department.
TDATA: Tuensang District Adhoc Teachers Association (TDATA) has alleged that education department instead of regularizing the genuine adhoc teachers had rampantly regularized bogus and doubtful teachers. Association president Chuba Chang said, the recent regularization of bogus and doubtful teachers’ showed insincerity of department towards the association’s demand. Association in a letter to director school education appealed the competent authority to intervene and redress its grievances at the earliest. TDATA also extended support to ANATU’s ultimatum to the department.
