Checking on dead poultry continues after report of carcass of dead chickens being transported from Lahorijan to Dimapur. In this connection police Wednesday seized 14 more chicken carcasses at New Field check gate and arrested one person.
The arrested person, Md. Sultan Ali (20) revealed that he has bought the chicken for Rs. 90 per kg from a wholesaler at Lahorijan and was to sell at Rail Bazaar, Dimapur. Earlier on Tuesday, police arrested one person while transporting 35 chicken carcasses from Larohijan to Dimapur for sale.
