DBC the oldest and most renowned Bible colleges in NE India: Dako

Parliamentary Secretary Transport & Communication, Mechanical & Engineering, Dako Phom said Discipleship Bible College (DBC) could be considered as the oldest and most renowned Bible colleges in North East India in spite of all “ups and downs”.
He said this while speaking as the guest of honor at the 30th foundation day of DBC, on Friday.

He also congratulated the principal of the college, faculties for their contribution in making the college on of the most excellent Bible colleges, not only in Nagaland but the entire North East India and further hoped the college would continue as the centre of academic and cultural excellence. He encouraged the students to use the word of God in every aspects of their life, and to be free from the temptations of the real situations. 

Discipleship Bible College, Principal, Rev. Dr. Nuklu Longkumer gave a brief history of how Discipleship Bible College (DBC) started 30-years ago.
While extending welcome to the guest of honor, faculties, board of members and the community, he said DBC was established in August 19, 1981 after obtaining permission from education department in 1982 and registered under the Act of society in 1982.

The college was later recognized by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) in 1998 and accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) for B. Th in 1998 and M. Div in 2002, said Nuklu. Till the last graduation, Nuklu disclosed that DBC has sent out more than 1000 students to serve the Lords’ Vineyard.  At present, there are 185 students from all over the north eastern states from 25 linguistic groups.
