Phek Town Youth Society which was formed on July 30 was officially launched on, August 16 at the Clock Tower, Phek town. The programme was attended by DC Phek, SP Phek, chief advisor PTC, NGOs’, G.Bs’ and public leaders apart from youths of Phek Town.
The programme was chaired by Neizote Venuh while Niehite Akami, president of PTYC read out aims and objectives of the society.
Deputy Commissioner Phek Mikha Lomi and Shevotso Rhakho chief advisor PTC exhorted the gathering while Wekute-ü Kapfo, banker of PTYS lauded government officials, NGOs, public leaders for their support.
She also thanked minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu, and Shevotso Rhakho, chief advisor PTC for donating a huge amount to PTYS. The new office bearers include: Neihite Akami as president, Zachive Rhakho as vice president, Suyiengoi Soho as general secretary, Avi Movi as joint secretary, Wekute-U Kapfo as banker and Thujosalu Dozo as women coordinator. Eleven colony youth presidents were also elected as executives.
