Preparation of photo electoral roll and electors’ photo I.D card is underway at Nagaland Secretariat from August 23.
This is in connection with Photo I. D. Card programme for those who had missed the first and second phase photography.
An official bulletin informed that two counters have been set up at secretariat lobby (main entrance) for designated photography location of the electors of Kohima district and the other counter to collect 2 photographs in coloured dully filled-in application form 001B for other districts of Nagaland.
Photography session at the secretariat was launched by chief secretary Nagaland Lalthara. The session would continue till August 30.
MOKOKCHUNG: In Mokokchung district, 85.12% registered voters were photographed during intensive photography campaign carried out in June and July 2011.
According to additional deputy commissioner & electoral registration officer, Mokokchung, Y. Dennagan Avennoho Phom, the photographs were being merged into the computer for generating photo electoral roles and electors photo identity cards.
He said a Designated Photography Location (DPL) has been set up in the office of the District Planning Machinery Cell (ADC Planning), Mokokchung with effect from August 23 to facilitate the left-out voters to get photographed. Photography will be held in the DPL during office hours till August 30.
ADC & ERO informed all those registered voters who were left out during the intensive photography session to avail the opportunity and get themselves photographed at DPL.
The left-out voters are to submit two recent coloured passport size photographs accompanied by duly filled-in Application Form. Forms will be available in the District Election Office, Mokokchung.
He also said those genuine voters whose names were missing from the current electoral roles would get an opportunity to register themselves during the special summary revision of Electoral Rolls scheduled to be launched with effect from October 1.
