Special police cell of Kohima DEF arrested three extortionists from BOC Mao Market at around 12pm on August 24. According to police, the arrested have been identified as Lanu Jamir (29 yrs), S/o – Repa Jamir of Chantongya village and currently residing at PR Hill, Kohima; Akholie (26 yrs), S/o – Bau Angami of Piphema village and a resident of PR Hill Kohima; Zhalie (40 yrs), S/o – Lhoubeilie of Medziphema village, also a resident of PR Hill Kohima.
In this connection a case has been registered vide KMA South PS C/No. 0069/11 U/S 384/341 IPC R/W 7 NSR 62 and further investigation was till the time of filing this report.
