The 20th music fest, a two day musical extravaganza, organized annually by the youth department of MTBA (Mokokchung Town Baptist Conference) under the theme, "My Utmost", culminated here today.
The event was organized at the Main Town Church.
UDX band, formerly known as ‘Dementia’, from Dimapur were the special guest band.
This year’s edition of the festival saw many old timers, professional musicians such as the Hunting Boots & the Graceland Harmony, Wabang Kichu, Synthonia group taking on the stage.
One important and encouraging format during the festival was that all the bands and singers were asked to perform only original songs and all the 9 respective youth departments under the church were asked to present a hymn in different genres like hip hop, blues, rock, reggae and cultural fusion music etc.
In the beat contest, altogether 5 bands locked horns and ultimately Silent Project walked away with the first prize. The members of UDX band were the judge of the beat contest.
