With regards to the clarification of the director food and civil supplies (F&CS) on August 26 to the queries made by the Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU), the City College Students’ Union Dimapur (CLCSU) has pointed out the “unsatisfactory” clarification made by the department.
Responding to the statement that a large number of application for SIS and SK’s were received seeking appointment against the resultant vacancies, the union questioned on how the applicants came to know about the said post when it has not been publicly advertised.
CLCSUD stated that transparency and equity cannot be maintained when the posts has not been publicly advertised adding the statement on advertising the post of only LDA-cum-computer assistant by the government for common examination conducted by NPSC did not justify without public notification.
CLCSUD president, Vilito Sema and general secretary, Hotoka Zhimo claimed that the manner in which the department was trying to recruit the candidate for the said post, clearly showed the policy of “pick and choose” which hamper the rights of educated unemployed youth to compete judiciously through open competitive exam and against the policy of recruitment. The union urged the authority to revoke the present applicants and conduct the examination after proper notification/advertisement.
