Industrial Village Razhuphe (IVR) Dimapur has notified all concerned that IVR does not fall within the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) which has been duly adjudicated by Gauhati high court in relevant decided case.
In view of the judgment order, the census operation of 2011 by the census officer conducted within the village by the appointed enumerators would be the final and conclusive according to census act, stated Head GB cum chairman IVR in a press release.
He further notified that the village authority has the power to issue village patta within the village be it non-cadastral areas or cadastral surveyed areas according to the customary practices approved by the law.
The head GB also said that in view of the findings of the competent court, the village land of IVR was never acquired by the government and that the government patta or Jamabandi holders within the village have no right to occupy the village land or sell without valid document.
