Public of Phenjang Sector of Tuensang Town apprehended one Akhumkiu and Topong for carrying unauthorized arms, harassing and also firing at public places on August 31 at around 9:30pm.
According to sources, the duo was later handed over to Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), the apex body of the Chang community, along with two arms and ammunition (.22country made pistol).
Chang Khulei Setshang recorded the statement of the accused and as confessed by the culprits, they were found guilty for violating the CKS resolution.
Chang Khulei Setshang further initiated stern action against them, while the arms (.22 pistols) were destroyed on Tuesday in the presence of the district administration and police department.
