In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 87 of Electricity Act, 2003(36 of 2003) and provisions under Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Constitution of State Advisory Committee and its functions Regulations, 2008; has nominated members of the State Advisory Committee (SAC), NERC for a period of two years with immediate effect.
The nominated members include: Neingulie Nakhro, Spokesperson, KCCI, “Unitech Inc”, Kohima; Y. Nuklu Phom, executive secretary, Phom Baptist Christian Association, “Nyengching”, Longleng; S. Manlip Konyak, chief advisor, Mon Town Council, “Zaklom Ward”, Mon; Medoselhou Keretsu, president Northern Angami Baptist Church Council, “Kohima Village”, P.O. Kohima; P. Lipongkyu Sangtam, Social Worker, “Jail Colony”, Kiphire and C.R. Lotha, NCS (Retd), “Merhulietsa,” Kohima.
NERC chairman-cum-member Er. S.I. Longkumer in a press release stated that the newly appointed members together with following existing 15, SAC members and two ex-officio members would constitute the full-fledged Committee as per provision in sub-section (2) of Section 87 of the EA, 2003.
The 15th SAC members are: Bendangnukshi Longkumer, Mokokchung, Dr. M.K. Sinha, Lumami, Er. Khriesito Savino, Dimapur, Raj Kumar Verma, Kohima, Rose I. Jamir, Dimapur, Hekani Jakhalu, Kohima, Om Prakash Sethi, Dimapur, Chingmak Kejong, Tuensang, Capt.
