A consultative and co-ordination meeting with the village leaders of Jalukie-sub division and Ngwalwa Circle was held in the office of SDO (Civil) Jalukie on October 7 under the chairmanship of Imsongmeren, SDO (C), Jalukie.
The meeting resolved to enforce prohibitions to be followed under respective jurisdictions. Free roaming of cattle in respective village jurisdiction has been prohibited, poisoning of river has been restricted in their respective village jurisdiction, random burning of jungles are to be controlled in their respective village jurisdiction and hunting would continue to remain banned in their respective areas.
The village leaders were also informed that different kinds of funding will be stopped, if resolutions were violated. The officers who spoke during the meetings in different topics were Samuel Chankija, IFS, DFO Peren, N. Henry Zeliang, district agriculture officer, Albert E. Ngullie, DPO, (LR), Lima, BDO, Jalukie, Dr Roko VAS, Peren, Mesento Rengma, DHO, N. Yeheto Nartho, SDFO & PD, ATMA, Kheshito, EE (IFS) and Z. Khamo, DSO (Seri).
