How about a £3,200 Swarovski crystal-studded baby bath?
Singer Beyonce and husband Jay-Z have taken delivery of just such a present from her former Destiny’s Child bandmate turned X Factor judge Kelly Rowland.
The 3,000lb porcelain tub is studded with 44,928 crystals that Californian interior designer Lori Gardner spent more than two months applying by hand.
But before you scoff at the expense, Gardner insists her baths continue to have a practical role long after they’ve been outgrown by the baby.
She suggests that the sparkling tub be used for bathing a pet (Beyonce does indeed have a pet — a Shih Tzu dog by the name of Munchie) or to keep beers cool at a party.
Beers? This is the baby bath of pop’s most glamorous couple. Bottles of Cristal champagne, perhaps…
