The Baptist Theological College celebrated its cultural day on December 10 under the theme “Significance of tribal ethics in contemporary society”.
Neiba Kronu, deputy chairman, state planning board, government of Nagaland chief guest.
Neiba Kronu stated “The tribals were governed by three simple ethics i.e fear, shame and taboo. Stealing, telling lies, unfaithfulness and laziness are not the culture of the tribals and tribals are known for their simplicity, honesty, sincerity and brevity”.
He further encouraged the theological community to promote good cultural values and be agents of change in the society.
Neiba Kronu also inaugurated the traditional handicrafts exhibition. He was accompanied by his wife.
The cultural day was marked by dances and songs and traditional game competition.
