Netaji remembered

Administration, teachers, staff, students and parents of Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School Monday celebrated the 115th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Pranab jubilee auditorium with author of ‘Discovery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Delhi Chalo, Last Camp in Nagaland’ and advisor, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and I.N.A. Trust Nagaland chapter, Er. Vikho Swuro.

Speaking on the celebration, the chief guest said Netaji was a brilliant and intelligent student who went on to fight for the freedom of Indians.

Deliberating on life of Netaji, the chief guest said Netaji joined the struggle of Mahatma Gandhi in pursuance of freedom through non-violence but later realized that through non-violence it would be hard to wipe out the British Army from the Indian land.

He then said Netaji was not a violent person rather he loved fellow Indians thus declaring war against the British army.
The chief guest then claimed that during his interactions with certain people he came to know that Netaji visited Nagaland on which he has made a book.

Further, the chief guest urged the school authority to initiate poetry and essay competitions during this kind of celebration. Earlier, the portrait of Netaji was garland by the chief guest. The highlight of the celebration was dance, special songs and fancy dress presentation by the students.
