A senior NSCN (I-M) member Anthony Shimray, who was arrested by National Investigating Agency (NIA) at Kathmandu Airport, Nepal, and currently lodged at Tihar central jail, New Delhi, has conveyed that he would begin “hunger strike” by last week of January to protest against the NIA and the government of India’s policy to detain him longer in prison.
Anthony, in his letter released by MIP, said the decision to go for “hunger strike” was taken “after a contemplative thought and deep prayer with fasting.” “I strongly believe that through your effort and help, truth and reality behind the fact, can be conveyed in order to bring about changes and freedom,” the NSCN (I-M) leader said.
