Members of the congress party under 34 A/C Aghunato had resigned from active & primary membership of the congress party and joined NPF under the dynamic leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie Lezietsu.
The resigned members include Kashito Yethomi secretary NPCC, Vikheho GB ex-member Zunheboto DCC, Hokugha GB former president 34 ACC, Nitovi Awomi ex-TCM & former president DYC and Nikheto Awomi Rtd superintendent.
Citing the reason for resignation from the active membership of congress, the members in a press release stated that Zunheboto district had experienced many upgradation and development under the leaderships of NPF and DAN government which was never felt during 15 years of congress ruling in Nagaland.
