Angami Youth Oganisation (AYO) mass social work in Kohima

Angami Youth Oganisation (AYO) in consonance with NBCC Platinum Jubilee celebration Tuesday organized a mass social work from North Police Station to Mohon Khola covering Jail Colony with the support of hundreds of volunteers comprising of colony youth organizations within Kohima town.

The social work began with collection of waste from shops and business establishments.
Several truck loads of waste were collected in the process.

In this connection, AYO has requested all business establishments not to store garbage outside their shops but to dispose it in the KMC garbage truck.

As per information received from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kohima Municipal Council, the garbage trucks collect waste at least three times a day, adding “Defaulters are likely to be penalized”.

Meanwhile, AYO has acknowledged Elizabeth Ngully, CEO KMC for joining the social work.
AYO further informed that there would be another round of social work on April 21 from 11 a.m. onwards.
