Government High School Chaba Tuensang has expressed gratitude to well-wishers for donating cash towards the school building. It may be mentioned that heavy rain accompanied by storm uprooted and destroyed houses, schools and offices in various parts of Tuensang on Friday.
According to sources, at least 30 private houses, schools and offices including, Akum Imlong School, GHS Chaba, Nursing hostel, urban development office, Anganwadi centre, PWD mechanical and St. John A, B, High school ‘A’, electric and telephone poles were destroyed. The district administration Tuensang led by SDO Civil Tuensang, Meren Chang verified the affected areas on Saturday.
The school authority thanked P. Chuba Chang MLA for donating Rs. 10,000, DC Tuensang T. Mhabemo Yanthan for donating Rs. 10,000, DEO Tuensang Tohoshe Sumi for donating Rs. 10,000, Temsula Ao, sub-divisional education Tuensang Rs. 10,000, project director DRDA, 2units CGI Sheets, Vinod Tuensang plain sheet. The school authority also thanked ward education committee, timber for re-constructing the damaged school.
