Ten houses and two granaries were damaged by a strong windstorm on April 29 between 11pm and 12pm at Chenwetnyu village under Mon district. According to a press release issued by the village council chairman, Nockpai Konyak, no human casualty was reported.
C.L John, MLA and chairman, MARCOFED, donated Rs.5000 each to those whose houses that were completely damaged and Rs.3000 each to those whose houses were partially damaged as immediate cash relief.
