All Nagaland Pre-Service Teacher Association (ANPSTA), Longleng, has flayed the recent declaration of PT’s oral result stating the education department has totally neglected and violated all norms while implementing recruitment policies under Longleng district.
According to a press statement issued by the association’s president, Ainyu, on November 28, 2011, the education department through its official memorandum gave assurance that professionally trained candidate would be given preference.
However, the association said, instead of waiting for direct appointment by the concerned department, the candidates had appeared both written and oral interview with the hope that education department would look into their case and fulfill its objectives.
The association said to its utter dismay, it was learnt that out of eleven PSTE candidates, only one candidate was selected for appointment which showed that the department has humiliated PSTE/ANPSTA fraternity and condemned the “act of ignorance and giving out appointment to some vested interest parties at the associations’ cost”.
“What is the objective/mission of education department especially SCERT in advertising training sessions every year if it decline using its resources? What is the outcome of construction/establishment of institutes, and keeping teaching faculties and staff spending crores of rupees if its cadres don’t get privileged in that field,” the association questioned.
The association further appealed to all frontal organizations including ANPSTA, ENSF and PSC for their support over the issue and requested the education department not to issue appointment order until justice is delivered.
