The already washed away portion of circular road Longleng – the main route leading to S.P Office, 31st AR Camp, DC’s Bungalow and many other colonies of the town is still left untouched. The road was damaged due to incessant rainfall last year.
Citizen journalist Francis Chingmei, quoting an official source said during the last DPDB meeting, the board discussed and decided to take up early renovation of the road under (BRGF) fund with the involvement of district administration, police, PWD and DRDA department.
However, he went on to add that officers and residents of the colony affected by the landslide, are made to face untold hardship in times of emergency especially for the general public to get to the main town.
