Phomla Hoichem Kohima Unit (PHKU) has condemned the rape of a minor girl by Tinulepden Amer.
In a condemnation note, PHKU president said, “such gross behavior shown by a 65-year old Naga man is despicable and shameful”.
“The enormity of the act upon the girl cannot be substantiated by anything, be it material or financial”, added PHKU, and supported the demand made by Dimapur Phom Union (DPU) to terminate the service of the accused with not entertaining incentives by the PHED Department.
Further PHKU demanded the accused should not be granted bail, at the same time, appreciated Prodigal’s Home under the supervision of Child Welfare Committee for taking care of the victim.
“The unanimous voice from every section and organization of Nagaland shown so far is a testament to the fact that Nagas cannot and shall not tolerate such barbaric behavior in future”, further stated PHKU.
