The joint meeting between Pughoboto sub-divisional planning and development board (SDPDB), Village Council Chairmen (VCC) and GBs in Pughoboto sub-divisional was held on October 6 at Dobashi Court Hall, Pughoboto.
Chairman SDPDB and MLA, Joshua Achumi while addressing the meeting, thanked all VCCs and GBs for their co-operation for taking active role in making successful implementation of resolutions in the sub-division. He also highlighted the agendas which were yet to implemented.
The meeting discussed and resolved on the following agendas: Introduction of common cemetery in all the villages which must be implemented by January, 2013 and the report was to be submitted before January 26, 2013; a fine of Rs.5, 000 will be imposed on defaulters who fail to bury the deceased in the common cemetery; to reserve wild life sanctuary and all villages are to earmark a certain area for 100% preservation of wildlife; all villages are to submit their resolution along with the earmark area before January 26, 2013.
All village council chairmen, GBs and heads of offices under Pughoboto sub-division attended the meeting except four villages who could not turn up due to landslide.
Meanwhile, test landing of helicopter was conducted successfully at Puhukito Helipad, Pughoboto on October 6. Puhukito helipad was constructed under 13th Finance Awards.
ADC Pughoboto, Peter Lichamo informed the entire village to put up a sign board at all junctions under its jurisdiction within the month of October.
