Minister for Agriculture Dr. Chumben Murry has appealed to the students to support the on-going peace process as changes are likely to take place.
Murry was addressing the students at Science College Jotsoma (SCJ) Wednesday, held at the college auditorium during its 51st Parting Social as the chief guest.
The minister said one should not go into imagination but should advocate peace while the students should also emanate the types of principals like respect for law, ethics and integrity.
Adding that the next 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th five year plan making it twenty years would be a developmental era of the state thereby one should be committed and should have the zeal and should not get stuck to oneself.
Murry said civilization of Christianity in Nagaland was taking its route where most people are devotional Christians than devoted Christians and urged to look beyond as many science students will a part of technical work force and will be involved in the crucial development of the state.
Stating that SCJ was the most prestigious college in the state, Murry urged the outgoing students to maintain the friendship as they step out of the college seeking new learning, new horizon and new understanding of life.
Guest of honor, chief engineer PWD (housing), Er. Dr. L. Yezhekhu Sumi in his brief address said in the process of the scientific world, if a person does not change the mindset for good, it would be a disaster for the society and to oneself.
He also urged the students to stay away from “bogus team’, as there was Nagas are witnessing bogus appointment and even bogus society eventually.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Seyiekhrielie Whiso, associate professor while the occasion was marked by songs, musical piece and a speech on behalf of the outgoing students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Yozoto Noho, general secretary KSCSUJ.
