All Nagaland Small Tea Growers’ Association (ANSTGA) held a meeting on November 23 and resolved to attend the CISTA meeting and tea day to be held from December 14-15 at Badumsa, Auranachal Pradesh.
The team representing the state will be D Hukyie Kibami, president, Lanu Lemtor, executive chairman, S K James, vice president and Yongthrise Sangtam, executive member. The meeting highlighted on use of pesticide and other chemicals in tea production and farming which has led to rejection of tea leaves from being marketed in most of the European countries.
