Friends and well wishers of late Sensomeren would be organising a tribute concert on the December 20, 2012 at the New Town Hall, Mokokchung. The organizers have invited everyone, especially those who bought his custom made guitars, to the event.
Late Sensomeren was born June 27, 1966 to Mr.Takaneken and Mrs. Tsungrempokla of Longkhum village, under Mokokchung District.
A graduate from NEHU, he begun his schooling from model kindergarten school (presently model higher secondary school), Edith Douglas school (presently Edith Douglas higher secondary school) and matriculated from government high school Mokokchung (Presently Mayangnokcha government higher secondary school).
According to tribute concert convenor Alemtemsu Longkumer “his interest were reading, listening to music, sketching and painting, hunting, angling and was also enthusiastically interested in the subject of “acoustic”.
He spent his major time in building /making guitars which were custom ordered. It is worth mentioning that he has contributed a lot in the field of music’.
Leaving behind his father, mother, three brothers, two sisters, four nephews and two nieces, he breathed his last on December 30, 2011.
One of his close friends Wapang remarked Sensomeren was always experimenting with the quality and type of wood to make the guitar, checking the quality of sound it (wood) will produce.
“He was a researcher, no wonder all his custom made guitars were so good,” said Wapang. Recalling their last meeting at Dimapur in September 2011, Wapang said he will miss him as they have so many fond memories.
