State BJP on Sunday clarified that the programme to stage ‘dharna’ on January 7 was never discussed in a cordial atmosphere in inner party forum and that it “totally rejects” the ‘dharna’ organised by a “minor section of the party”.
A press release issued by Nagaland state unit secretaries BJP Mhalo Lotha and N. David Zeliang stated that BJP being the major national party, the central direction was necessary to conduct such political activities.
“The collective party stand endorses that all 60 JLF MLAs must resign first enbloc and there should be no ‘hide and seek’ game to gain extensive mileage from any quarter of Naga society”, added the secretaries.
