Members of the Aggrieved Medical Employees Union, Wokha (AMEUW) have been staging a peaceful protest at the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) here at Wokha since Monday against non-payment of salaries.
The protest leaders informed Nagaland Post that since Monday they have boycotted the normal functioning of office and that their protest would go on indefinitely.
The protesters also submitted a memorandum Monday to the health and family welfare principal director demanding release of salaries and re-instatement of services for 70 odd medical employees under CMO Wokha.
