Deputy commissioner and district election officer Longleng, K. Libanthung Lotha has notified that no political party, association, body or candidate , their workers, or supporters have any right to deface or spoil any private or public building by pasting of posters, writing of slogans, painting of their symbols etc.
The DC has notified the political party or candidate not to permit its followers to use any individual’s land, building, compound wall etc without the owner’s permission for erecting flag staff, suspending banners, pasting notices, writing slogan etc.
DC has also warned that anyone indulging in such undesirable activities without the written permission of the owner would be prosecuted and processed against the law. The order would come into force with immediate effect.
