Assam Rifles (AR) personnel Tuesday found an abandoned plastic bag on the pavement near Blue Hill station Dimapur that created panic among the residents and passersby in the area.
The abandoned bag was found by 29 AR at around 7.50 p.m. and the area was immediately cordoned off.
A Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad from Rangapahar arrived at the site at around 10 p.m. and sealed the area.
AR claimed that there was some “explosives” inside the bag and that it would be disposed off Wednesday morning.
