Kyong Hoho (KH) Sunday asked all Kyong groups to desist from misleading the public stating that any attempt to tarnish the image and damage the sanctity of the hoho would not be tolerated.
In a press release, KH chairman Yansathung Jami and general secretary Michael Yanthan said the hoho was constrained to issue this statement following a series of alleged “defamatory write-ups” by Lotha Hoho Kohima (LHK), Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD) and Lotha Gazette Officer’s Association (LGOA) against the apex organization.
KH said the tenure of incumbent executive council members was extended after due approval by representatives of villages of Wokha district during general conference held on December 11, 2012.
It claimed that the tenure was extended as per guidelines and conventions of the hoho.KH asserted that LHK, LHD being sub-ordinate members and LGOA did not have the authority to entrust the Kyong frontal organization to re-organize the apex body.
