In a gruesome act, a 6 year old girl was raped by her father in Phek town Friday. Some reports which went viral on social networking sites Friday night also alleged that the father used to rape the daughter since she was 4-years old.
The accused, 28, was employed as a mason and residing at mission compound, Phek town. He was arrested on Friday last basing on a complaint lodged by family members.
When contacted, SDPO Phek said that the accused has been forwarded to judicial custody. The accused who confessed to the crime to police said he had been defiling her daughter over the years.
