It looks like Nigella Lawson has moved out of the home she shares with husband Charles Saatchi following the dramatic ‘attack’ scandal, with a removal team spotted at the £12 million home in Mayfair.
Photos emerged earlier this month that appeared to show Saatchi grasping Nigella’s throat and grabbing her nose during a row at their favourite restaurant, Scott’s, near their house.
Now, fresh snaps show a group of removal men sticking several of Nigella’s belongings into the back of a lorry, including a blender, fitness equipment and even what looks like a roll of wrapping paper.
Saatchi has reportedly downplayed the furore as a “playful tiff”, but it seems the relationship is well and truly on the rocks.
A friend is quoted as saying: “It really does seem like the end.” It was reported earlier this week that lawyers for the couple were spotted holding a lunch meeting amid speculation that they could be divorcing.
A source told the Sunday People: “She wants out. Neither she nor Charles are interested in counseling or trying to save the marriage.”
And another added: “This is not how Nigella imagined her marriage might end but she realises it was the tipping point. “The marriage has been under strain for some time but the choking incident was the end.”
