Owing to security reason and lack of proper infrastructure, for around 20 years the sub treasury, Mangkolemba branch has been attached to the senior treasury office in Mokokchung.
President Mangkolemba Ao Lanur Telongjem (MALT) Imjong Longkumer and secretary Lanutemjen in a release stated that Mangkolemba, a sub divisional headquarter covering 3 ranges of Changkikong, Japukong and Tsürangkong with more than 40 villages and townships and its people (different departmental staff, pensioners and public) have been enduring numerous difficulties in getting their work done in the sub-treasury branch at Mokokchung town.
MALT while acknowledging the treasury & accounts department (TAD) in charge for sanctioning a new sub-treasury office building in Mangkolemba town, which was completed for some time now, said the sub-treasury was yet to be shifted to Mangkolemba town for reasons best known to the department in charge.
In this connection, MALT has urged the principal director TAD to shift the establishment to Mangkolemba town at the earliest for the benefit of citizens residing at the three ranges.
