Pughoboto: Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meeting held under the chairmanship of parliamentary secretary for irrigation and flood Control, Y. Vikheho Swu on July 10 deliberated on declaring Pughoboto sub-division as ‘economically backward area’.
In this connection, the house decided to discuss the matter with GBs association and resolved that the decision would be informed to all the villages before it was forwarded to the government.
The board also decided to restrict random formation of organizations within Pughoboto sub-division. The house discussed on the issue and decided to urge the existing organizations to submit the name of its office bearers with their memorandum.
To make proper planning for township, the members deliberated and resolved to form ‘Land Settlement Board’ for Pughoboto town and recommend the same to the government.
The board also resolved to form Pughoboto sub-division badminton association and constituted the committee members with parliamentary secretary, Y. Vikheho Swu as advisor, ADC Pughoboto as president, four vice-presidents, two member secretaries and fifteen executive members.
During the meeting, the SDPDB chairman asked the horticulture department, bamboo mission and irrigation department to come prepared with power point presentation in the next meeting.
He also informed that the three toppers of HSLC examination 2013 from Pughoboto sub-division would be felicitated in the next SDPDB meeting.
ADC Pughoboto informed the members on the work distribution for Independence Day celebration and called upon all officers concerned for their co-operation in their entrusted works during the celebration.
In the meeting, the board decided to serve circular to those villages that had not acted on the implementation of common cemetery and wildlife reserve forest till date.
It may be mentioned that, the board in the previous meetings resolved for creation of common cemetery and wildlife reserve forest by every village under Pughoboto Sub-Division.
Tseminyu SDPDB: Monthly Tseminyu sub-divisional planning & development board (SDPDB) meeting was held on July 10 at ADC conference hall with ADC and vice chairman, Wonchio Odyuo presiding over the meeting.
During the meeting, VAS Tseminyu, Dr. Rebecca Khing highlighted on the need of a new dispensary and staff quarter, proper infrastructure of VHC, Khachunlika, Puhuboto, proper land demarcation to prevent encroachment land allotment and reclaiming of land by land owners.
SDO (Soil), Tepunil Tepa also highlighted on its departmental function and activities and also stated some requirements like renovation of quarter, electrification and construction of retaining wall.
Members also proposed to construct two sub-health centres at Phenwenyu and Terogonyu under SMO Tseminyu.
Work programme of the LADP 2013-14 was also deliberated and approved by the house.
Team member Kohima, Neilazono Terhuja gave a power point presentation on Nagaland Bee Keeping and Honey Mission where she highlighted on dissemination of knowledge on bee keeping and honey production, agricultural, economic, revenue and health benefit, medicinal values, ecological balance factors, organic and indigenous bees of Nagaland etc.
Bee keeping and honey production and its related activities with special reference to the Tseminyu sub-division, weakness, strength and potential areas was also highlighted upon during the presentation.
