Late Pangersowa trust award for academic excellence

High School Leaving Certification (HSLC) examination topper, Sungjemla Imsong, was awarded with late Pangersowa trust award for academic excellence, Saturday during a felicitation programme organized by organized by Langpangkong Students’ Mungdang (LKM) at the Chuchuyimlang Town Hall.

Sungjemla daughter of Mar Imsong of Kangtsung village secured the 12th position in the recently declared HSLC examination result attributed her success to her teachers and parents for their untiring guidance and support.

On receiving the award, Sungjemla said that every God given life possessed the potentiality to be an achiever provided they have the heart for hard work and determination.

Chief of the 2nd felicitation programme of late Pangersowa trust award for academic excellence and Ao Senden, president Dr. Sangyu Yaden, said that to be successful in this competitive world one require great willpower, grater determination, ability to take right decision and hard work.

Stating that there was not shortcut formula for success, Dr. Sangyu Yaden, said awards could not be bought but has to be earned through sweat.

Congratulating Sungjemla on her success, Dr. Sangyu Yaden urged urged the gathering, especially the youth, to live a responsible and dignifiedlife by discovering one’s potential, before the potentialities perishes in the grave.

Eldest grandson of late Pangersowa, advocate I Akum Jamir described his grandfather as a man of great principal who worked for the welfare of the society.

According to advisor LKM, Temsumangyang four students Sungjemla Imsong Sentienla, Moatoshi, and Sentimenla from Langpangkong Range

secured 12, 26, 48 and 50 positions in the recently declared HSLC results. He said that amongst the four the trust felicitated the top scorer.

Earlier, short speeches were delivered by the Ao Students’ president Akok Longkumer, SDEO Mokokchung I Sademmenla and treasurer, LKM Supongmatong.
