State chief minister Neiphiu Rio would kick off the joint campaign comprising of NPF, BJP and JD (U) for 51-Noksen assembly constituency bye-election on August 22.
Informing this to Nagaland Post, state BJP spokesperson-cum-general secretary, James Vizo said state BJP office bearers Monday met Rio at his residence and discussed on Article 371 (A), Assam-Nagaland border issue and prohibition act.
At the meeting, BJP has apprised Neiphiu Rio that it has endorsed CM Chang as the DAN consensus candidate and extended full support.
On the prohibition issue, BJP said the prohibition act should be reviewed so that government could generate more revenue which could be used for maintenance of various infrastructures.
