District Disability Rehabilitation Center (DDRC) managing members and staff had a meeting in the premises of DDRC, Dimapur August 27.
The meeting was attended by commissioner disability Dr. Atha Vizol, additional secretary, social welfare Dellirose Sakhrie, social welfare joint director Kewii and various representatives like, CBR, NGOs based in Dimapur.
In a press release, IRCS general secretary and DDRC board chairman Zakie Kire chaired the meeting. At the meeting, various issues relating to DDRC functioning was discussed.
DDRC staff appealed to the responsible official present to apprise the state government to extend support the DDRC.
In the course of discussion, the commissioner of state disability Dr. Atha Vizol and additional secretary social welfare Dellirose Sakhrie assured that necessary exercises would be made to convince the higher authority to support the DDRC in order to facilitate in rendering the much needed services to the people living with disability.
