Dimapur Police on wee hours Wednesday caught one GPRN/NSCN cadre identified as ‘under secretary’ Edwin Sumi (34) son of Lahoto Sumi of Aghunato, Zunheboto and presently residing at Lingrijan village along with one 9 mm pistol, seven live rounds and one hundred Self-Loading Rifle SLR bullets. A public was also arrested along with the cadre.
According to officer-in-charge Diphupar police station, K Angami police around 2 a.m. received a call from Faith Petrol Pump located at 5th mile reporting of some problem in the pump.
On receiving the information, Angami said that the mobile patrolling party along with the Diphupar police personnel rushed to the site and apprehended the accused. A case has been registered and the accused forwarded to the court for police remand.
