Sazolie College, Jotsoma Kohima organized cultural day on September 7, where traditional and modern Naga attires by various tribes such as Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Lothas, Semas and others were presented.
The show began with a speech by Bengangzenla Jamir who stressed on the urgency to protect and conserve values and traditions.
Followed by Tenyimia performance on Easterine Iralu’s “cherry blossoms in spring” a true love story of a Japanese soldier and an Angami damsel.
Other cultural items were performed by the Chakhesang, Sumi, Ao, Lotha and Eastern Nagas, who enacted various cultural items such as songs, war dances and dramas.
The show was one in which beauty and uniqueness of Naga culture was showcased with each tribe appreciating and learning more of each other’s cultures.
