Khonoma Rüffüno Nagaland (KRN), the apex body representing all the Khonoma people, has strongly condemned the “gang rape of a minor” in Khonoma on August 31 allegedly by Viriezolie Meyase, son of Vozoto Meyase and Kepevilie Savino, son of late Lato Savino.
In a statement, KRN president Kuolachalie Seyie and vice president Kenneth Punyü has also lauded the law enforcing agency for having booked the culprits.
The organization has demanded the severest punishment to the perpetrators so as to deter recurrences of such crime in future.
KRN said it upholds the rule of law, justice and human dignity, and therefore, resolved to fully support the due process of law.
