Thirty-four cases of beer, 53 cases of bottles of rum, seven cases of whisky, 130 bottles of local wine (sekmai), 26,725 SP and Nitrocin tablets and capsules and 1,030 kg of ganja were destroyed by the Peren district administration following an order of the District and Sessions Judge, Peren, on September 6.
The items were recently seized by the police in various cases. Civil Judge (Jr)/JMFC, Peren; APP, Peren; PI, Peren; SDO (Civil), Peren; and DB were present when the items were destroyed, stated a release issued by Ajongba Imchen, Civil Judge (Jr Div), Peren.
