Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) first ATM counter was inaugurated at the ground floor of the bank premises at Mokokchung town by M.B Longkumer, one of the first successful Naga entrepreneurs and former MCCI & MTC chairman.
Speaking on the occasion, Longkumer advised the people to utilize the facilities available in upcoming banks like IDBI as they have ventured in the banking market with new zeal and fresh objective to capture the market with innovative schemes and policies.
Appraising the needs of the people of the district, he appealed to the bank staff to look into the present needs of the people of Mokokchung especially in medium and small scale industries and young upcoming entrepreneurs and help them stand on their feet as business sector in the district has become lethargic and stagnant for more than 30 years.
He added that in doing so, the bank as well as the customers of the bank would flourish and progress hand in hand.
M. Paominlin Haokip, Asst. Manager, IDBI bank, Mokokchung branch in his short speech, said that the bank was looking forward to growing together with the people of Mokokchung district and added that IDBI bank was always willing to come forward and assist any customers as long as they have genuine willingness to avail and utilize the many schemes and policies the bank has to offer and thus contribute for the upliftment of the community and district.
Earlier at the function, Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor MTBA offered the dedicatory prayer for the newly installed ATM machine.
It may be mentioned that IDBI bank ATM will be the second ATM installed in Mokokchung district by a govt. sector bank apart from ATMs installed by State Bank of India (SBI).
