The 5th edition of the prestigious Music Awards of Nagaland will culminate at the formal awards presentation ceremony on September 14 at Town Hall, Dimapur.
The eagerly awaited event will begin 5 p.m. with performances by a host of well known singers and bands of Nagaland.
Some the past nominees who will be performing are as follows:
Imli Lee (Déjà vu) who has been nominated three times in the Rap/ Hiphop category in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and who has won the award two times in a row i.e. in 2012 and 2013.
Avancer, also nominated in 2011 in the rock category and winner of the NSACS Rock Aware contest 2011.
Diethozo Thakro who has won two awards in best gospel song and song of the year in 2012 categories.
Still Rhyming, the winners of best music video award last year and also the first Hiphop crew from NE India to hit VH1 Hit Factory.
Apart from these, there will also be performances by the winners in various categories. Altogether, 15 awards will be presented in different categories covering various genres of music and different facets of music production.
Alemtesmshi Jamir, IAS, chief secretary, Nagaland will grace the event as the chief guest while Robert Lyghdoh (Bob), VC, Martin Luther Christian University, Meghalaya will be the guest of honour.
