Naharbari Village Council (NVC), Dimapur has asked all “land owners/house owners” within its jurisdiction along NH-29 to “remove” those buildings which have “encroached the highway” including “building materials, fencing walls, toilet waters etc.” within September 30. NVC chairperson, Tokheli Kikon and sanitation committee convener W. Mero said the directive was based on the village council’s resolution. NVC said stern action would be taken against those failing to comply with the order as per the resolution.
