A government quarter belonging to PWD department was destroyed by fire at Lower Officers’ Hill Colony Kohima Thursday around 5.50 p.m.
Four fire engines were pressed into action that prevented fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. There were no reports of casualties; however, one pig was killed in the fire.
The fire engines delayed in reaching the spot due to narrow road and vehicles parked by road side. The cause of fire and cost of property destroyed could not be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
