Chamber of Commerce Mon along with DBs and police conducted joint checking on essential items in Mon on October 4 last.
According to a press release, issued by Chamber of Commerce Mon president Shri. C. Nyamto Konyak and general secretary Anok Prince, checking were conducted on items including red meat (pork, beef and puff), fish, petrol, diesel, kerosene in BOC including underground tank construction and compound.
They also checked on the sale of mobile top-ups and TV recharges. Chamber of Commerce Mon stated that mobile top-up, tv recharges and any other things should be sold according to MRP price and cautioned that action would be initiated against defaulters.
Meanwhile, Chamber of Commerce Mon has notified that all the motiyas to put on their uniform with the serial number with effect from October 7 and action would be taken against defaulters.
It also directed that all the market i.e. all the shops keeper should run their shop according to the trade licence.
“If anybody found without proper licence action will be taken by the Chamber of Commerce Mon,” it stated.
Also, chamber of commerce has instructed that digital weighing scale should be available in all the shops including butcher and fish sellers with effect from October 28. it further cautioned that trade licence of defaulters would be cancelled.
Chamber of Commerce also stated that rice has to be weighed by the shop keeper before the customer.
