In order to eliminate the expired goods from Phek Town, district administration along with police personnel carried out surprise checking Tuesday in all the shops and business establishments for prevention of hazardous items which were sold to the public.
Huge quantities of expired were seized and cautioned the shop owners of the legal provisions to be taken.
The seized items amounting to around lakhs of rupees was destroyed in front of public leaders, GB’s along with police personnel’s as well as administrative officers.
